  After reading good reviews on this hotel, and it being recommended by a local N.Y.C. travel agency, I felt good about staying here. The room was tiny, not so clean (looked like it had not been vacumed), we had to ask for drinking glasses, towels and washcloths each day, even had to ask for ice, which was not readily available. There was nowhere to put bathroom items in the bathroom--very small sink, no vanity, and the bathroom is glassed in (opaque) so when you turn on the bathroom light in the middle of the night, it lights up the whole room, which is about the same size as the bathroom. Staff was ok, but not overly helpful or friendly. There are too many other places in NYC to stay to recommend this hotel or to return to this hotel.

  I looked on line and found a small, but great hotel. I took my daughter there for her 16th birthday! We had a fabulous time! The Shoreham was FANTASTIC! The staff was incredably friendly and our hotel room was wonderful! It was just what my daughter dreamed of when she went to NYC. The hotel was quaint and very comfortable. We especially liked out room. It was contemporary with the great massage chair...this momma loved that! We will stay there again. Go and have a great time!

  Just in for one night. As a regular visitor to midtown NY, the hotel is centrally located. My room was clean with modern accents. The room is a bit small, especially if you were to have more than one person for a few days. The noise from the hallway did filter into my room too much, but I didn't get much street noise - a real blessing in NY. The staff seemed friendly.

  Great location. Friendly staff. One robe for two people and no refills on shampoo soap etc even when asked. . Had paid for Jr Spa Suite with king bed and got Jr Spa Suite with queen bed and only one robe for two people. Had to call to front desk for hairdryer and another robe. These should have been there before coming to the room as a four star rated hotel. Overall, good weekend, but these little things would make me try a diiferent hotel next time.

  The Shoreham was a great spot at a great price. Our room (one queen bed) was pretty small, but very efficient;y laid out, recently redecorated, and comfortable . A free espresso machine located in the lobby was a frequently used amenity. One downside was the lack of a comfy chair for reading, but we were in the room very little anyhow. In the past we've stayed mostly at the Parker Meridien, and the Shoreham is not as posh, but just as convenient. We'll definitely stay there again.
