  The Extended Stay America in Elmsford provided a seamless stay at a very affordable price (relative to the other hotels in the area). They allowed a late check-in (after eleven p.m.), and the desk attendant was very pleasant and competent. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, television with cable, clean bathroom, and a nice shower. There was a kitchen unit, which we didn't make use of, but which I'd definitely use if I were staying for more than one night. They even provided dishes and cookware. I was very impressed with this hotel, especially after having read less-than-positive reviews online beforehand. Bonus: nice diner across the street, hop, skip and a jump away!

  I needed a place to stay for couple weeks for a business trip and was kind of worried at the beginning when i read the reviews from other people. however ...

  I needed a place to stay for couple weeks for a business trip and was kind of worried at the beginning when I read the reviews from other people. However after staying here for few weeks, my experience was pretty good. The rooms got a small kitchen with a full size fridge, a clean bathroom, and a small closet. Washing/drying, vending machine on the first floor, and a 3 floor parking lot. There is a 24hr dining restaurant across the street, a gas station .25miles away, and a bus station at the the corner. Although is located on the main street and there is a highway next to it, but I rarly hear any noise coming from outside unless a truck honk its horn in the middle of the night. I also find the staffs very friendly and helpful. Now looking back at other reviews, I think most of the negative reviews were back in the year of 2007. I wonder if they changed management or decided to improve their service. For the price I paid, I cannot complaint for the service I received. The service is great for the price I paid. The only thing I have to say about is the speed of their high speed internet. Its a little bit slow at night. Also in the morning (usually between Mon - Friday), I sometime hear others banging their doors as they walk of out their rooms (but doesn't bother me since I am awake already). The other thing is if the cleaning staff is cleaning the room next to mine, I can hear them moving the furnitures and bed through my room (just once in a while during the day). But hey, at least I know they are doing their jobs =p.

  I needed a place to stay for couple weeks for a business trip and was kind of worried at the beginning when I read the reviews from other people. • terrible hotel!!!

  We (me, my husband & 2 kids) checked in at around 11pm from new york city. we were so tired from exploring new york city that it was nice to see ...

  we (me, my husband & 2 kids) checked in at around 11pm from new york city. we were so tired from exploring new york city that it was nice to see the hotel. but when i got the key card, our room won't open. i went down to the front desk and he gave me a new card, but still it won't open. the front desk guy came up to open the room with the key, and what do i see??? THE ROOM IS NOT CLEAN YET!!! we went down again so he could get me a room, but it took more than an hour for me to get another room. I think he was talking on the phone to the manager and they are sorting out what room he's going to give to us. all the while, the kids are tired and would like to sleep and use the bathroom. they said all the rooms are already reserved. but don't you think that if your guests are already standing in front of you, that you need to prioritize??? so after eternity, they found us a room with a single bed. (i booked a double bed because we're 4). the front desk guy named clarence(?) is helpful (but he can't control the situation). he tried to find us an extra room, and he gave me a key card again. and what happened? it still won't open. even with his key, it won't open. he tried to give me a room again , this time in a smoking room, but the same thing happened. THE DOOR WON'T OPEN. i just went back to the room to take a rest. then he called me to tell me that the room was already occupied that's why we can't open it.
