  My husband and I stayed at the Camino Real for 3 days prior to his shipping out to Iraq. We secured the room with our debit card but when checking in we asked if it would be possible to pay with a different credit card. They said yes when we check out we can. When it came time for checkout- we paid with the other card no problem.All of a sudden 9 days later- they decided out of the blue to charge our debit card to even though we

  For the price this hotel is a dump. Broken furniture in my room, repainted with running paint lines to "look new". I have stayed here several times over the last few years (no choice, company provided) and the wireless internet has NEVER worked. They charge for local calls so using dial up is not an option. This hotel is in a very bad area of town. When we checked in the staff told us if we would like to go shopping they would provide transportation to a "safe" mall.

  We love Camino Real Hotel in El Paso. Sort of wondering with it's being an old (1912) hotel and after reading some of the reviews. Yes the bathrooms are not cutting edge and up to date - certainly large in size, attractive and serviceable. The rooms were elegant in a European sort of way with white floor length curtains and nearly floor to ceiling windows with views to ""forever"". With dark furniture and white bedding, light walls, the rooms were most attractive. The bar there is spectacularly beautiful and so was the food from the two restaurants. We will be heading back there again.

  I love this hotel. It is in very good shape with excellent service and staff. I just wish the art gallery was open all the time. But the art in the lobby is marvelous. Also, it could use some historical information to give it some context.

  Although the stay at this hotel was enjoyable, I was in the 4th floor right above the dome and although the music was muffled it was not sufficient....I had trouble tuning music out. They jacked up the music to end their night at 1am and it woke me up both nights. Glad to say I was tired and did not have energy to call or make an issue of it at that time.
