  I stayed at The Hilton Garden Inn in Fishkill NY for 2 days over Thanksgiving. My Family and I frequently travel over the holidays. We have always had full service on holidays even Christmas day. However I was quite surprised when there was no maid service provided for us at this hotel on Thanksgiving Day. When we returned from our family visit thanksgiving night our room was untouched, we needed clean towels and shampoo. I then called the front desk to try and at least get towels. The women at the front desk apologized and told me that I should come down to the front desk and she could give me clean towels. No maid service, come down and get your own towels, this is a Hilton? I think that I should be told when I book a room that there will be no holiday maid service. The hot tub was closed both days ?due to maintenance? the pool room was way too cold, the clock in our room was broken and there was limmited TV service with no HBO. There were also large boxes blocking the hallway off the lobby. The Hilton must be trying to saving money by removing holiday maid service, and cutting maintenance. The few employees that were working the holiday were as nice as they could be, but the hotel was clearly understaffed.
