  IT WAS HORRIBLE!!! DON'T BOOK HERE!!!! We went for a family vacation and thought we had booked a decent hotel. We were sadly mistaken. ALL the staff was rude, the room was dirty, there is no house keeping during your stay. There were two towels in the room and when I asked for more we were told to bring the dirty wet ones down and they would exchange them. So as 1 person took a shower we had to take the towels down. They said they had a continental breakfast...well thats a joke. All they had was individually wrapped honey buns.....thats all. No toast, bagels, fruit, nothing. Only 1 ice maker worked in the whole hotel, no microwaves in the room, it one per floor in the middle of the hall...that didn't work. The a/c took 1 whole day to cool off the room. The general manager doesn't return calls and the staff is horrible. It says it has beach access which is a lie. It sits on the bay side with nothing but marsh and weeds and no beach. It was the most horrible experience we have ever had and we travel at least 5-6 times a year. Please don't waste your money!!!!

  I made reservations using Travelocity and when I arrived at the hotel with my confirmation/reservation number I was told that I had no reservation-no room! I was told I could have a room for *, * more than my original reservation! I called online travel website and they were'nt much help either, putting me on hold for about 1 hour! as I waited for a response from online travel website, two other parties arrived, and, you guessed it, same problem. online travel website did not resolve the problem. Beware of Bayview Hotel and online travel website, they definitely screwed up my outing to South Padre Island

  Check in was at 3pm and we arrived at that time. the front desk stated room was not ready to be back in 20 min. so we did some shopping ...

  Check in was at 3pm and we arrived at that time. The front desk stated room was not ready to be back in 20 min. So we did some shopping and arrived back an hour later. The room was still not ready. We had to wait for two and a half hours just to get in the room and we had no towels, or pillow cases. We called the front desk to let them know as we were finally leaving to go the the beach. When we arrived back we still had no towels and front desk would not give us any and stated towels were taken up already. We repeatedly informed them that we didn't have any towels and he pretty much told us we were lying to try and get more than our share. I finally went to the front desk showed him what we had which was the towels for the floor once out of the shower. He never once said sorry and just said here are your towels. This was the worst experience ever and house keeping was just as bad. We would never stay with this hotel ever again...

  We planned for a romantic getaway & when we arrived at the hotel, it was not what we expected. The lobby area was not clean & the walls in our room had holes; the toilet was stained with fecal matter. I had to stuff the holes with toilet tissue. The elevator had empty garbage. We had to spend the night there because we had no other choice. In the morning, I looked out the window & saw a big muddy area (hardly an ocean view). After arriving back home, we found out they charged us * for a 1 night stay. They have refused to pay us back & will not return our calls. Some staff members are rude & the others screens our calls. The manager \
