We honestly enjoyed out stay at this resort. This is our 2nd all inclusive through West Jet and I know we will continue this style of holiday. We were just the right distance from P.V.. We took the bus ride twice and enjoyed the walk around, re-visiting old places we had checked out when were were staying at the downtown hotels years ago. The downtown is very busy with hawkers trying to set you up for a visit to the time share properties, just say "No thanks" and they will not hassle you. Check out the art galleries behind the main drag, worth it the see the blown glass art, sculptures and paintings. The pink bridge is still there waiting for Liz Taylor and Richard Burton to meet up on. The large church is in need of some repair but you can still go in and sit awhile. Nice to get back on the bus and come back to Mismaloya Resort. Pools, rooms, variety of foods to choose from and ALL Staff were wonderful. Beach and pools were plenty nice, no need to go anywhere else to swim. Met some very nice folks on Vacation, we hopefully will keep in touch. Nice variety show in the evening, they do dance their hearts out! Remember to tip! You spend good money to get there, spend a few more dollars or pesos thanking them all for their good ,service. Over the week we were there we did average approx. * - *$ in tipping, not much when you consider how well we were treated, before we even tipped. Staying at this Barcelo resort was the best vacation I have ever had. The room was amazing, I didn't expect it to be a big suite. The view from the resort was spectacular with the jungle and mountains surrounding. The food was great, the buffet had different things each night. Though the staff did not speak fluent english, they knew enough to get you everything you needed. Overall, the trip was amazing and I had nothing to complain about.

This resort was very nice, not so crowded and ideal for little kids, the staff was very friendly and remembered us through out the stay. The rooms were very nice, big enough for a family of four; they got us a crib for the baby( free of charge!). The coolest part was where we got to release baby turtles into the sea.

Had a wonderful time at this hotel. The grounds and the rooms are wonderful. Excellent staff to serve you. Everyone is very friendly and goes out of their way to help. If you are looking for a wild and partying place, do not go to this hotel. If you are looking for a nice, relaxing vacation, this is the place. It is about 30 minutes outside Puerta Vallarta, so you do not have the hussle bussle of the city, but a quick cab ride will get you downtown ( $15.00) For eating, we preferred the buffet to the specialty restaurants

Stayed there Oct 12-Oct 17. Loved it! Very relaxing...Staff make your stay as comfortable as it can be...very friendly!! Food is ok...I would recommend to everyone to try to eat outside, downtown or just a few feet to the right after leaving the resort. Maybe 100 feet. Authentic mexican food. Rooms are clean and spacious. Hotel is kind of secluded, ideal for honeymooners, not much of a night life... But if night life doesn't matter to you...definately this one is the one to choose. Give tips...you get better service.
