I recently spent three nights at Harrah's as I was traveling with several people staying there. Check-in was somewhat slow, despite utilizing the Diamond check-in area. We were upgraded to a "petite suite", which turned out to be a very good thing. The room was a reasonable size and surprisingly quiet. Our friends were in a "regular room", which was one of the smallest rooms I have ever seen in Las Vegas. And to agree with other reviews, the motion-sensored air conditioning was very annoying. Overall, I was unimpressed with Harrah's and will not stay there again. The employees were nice for the most part, but the property is tired. Although the work-out room was great for a hotel, the "Spa" was a joke (I had to wait for my massage on a wooden bench). The pool area looks like it is from a Motel 6 and the Cabanas would be a waste of money. The casino gave the impression of being cramped and it was clear the common areas were too small for the number of rooms in the hotel. On the plus side, the eating options were very good and drinking beer out of Mason jars at "I Love This Bar" was a hoot. As a Diamond member I have stayed at Paris, Bally's and the Flamingo. They were all significantly better than Harrah's. If you have a choice, choose one of them.

I recently stayed at the Harrah's in Las Vegas. The room was very nice (although there were no coffee makers). A nice variety of restaurants. They advertise a "party pit" and although I saw where it was, it was never going. I stayed there before several years ago, and it was the highlight of the casino. The food was good. We decided to splurge a bit and ate at Penazzi's. The specials the waitress mentioned sounded wonderful. We were naive enough to assume that the specials would be comparable in price to the menu. That was a rude shock. The highest item on the menu was 38 for rack of lamb. When we got the bill, there were the 2 specials...one for 30 and the other for 40. At no time were the prices mentioned for we surely didnt mean to splurge THAT much. A lesson learned and shame on them. The cafe was decent and the buffet was nice. A hotel worth visiting...but I shall choose another in the future.

09/28/2009I thought harrahs was great... we had a beautiful room in the mardi gras tower... 2 plaasma tvs, comfortable beds, a nice cool room at all times, and absolutely amazing ...
i thought Harrahs was great... we had a beautiful room in the Mardi Gras tower... 2 plaasma tvs, comfortable beds, a nice cool room at all times, and absolutely amazing water pressure in the shower... the hotel staff was always friendly and helpful... the hotel is very centrally located on the strip, so theres plenty to see and do...we had the breakfast buffet a couple of days, it was delicious...plenty of choices for everyone... Harrahs was a great hotel... definately would stay there again...
