the worst thing for me was the distance from the airport shuttle drop point to the "front desk"; for a SENIOR, it was a long walk on uneven (beautiful) floor. Then a long wait in queue, since all came at the sane tie from airport.
Every time I had to catch shuttle or bus, it was that long walk again.
Other than that, all was clean and beautiful. The beach incredible.
Very pricy restaurants.
The resort is the most gorgeous ever and the service first class.

The hotel has everything you could want to do as far as eating and parting. However, the bars and resturants are rather pricey. The attached "Village" resturants are a little more reasonable. Major shopping and chain resturants are within walking distance, 1-2 miles, as are lots of local resturants.
Room in the Alii building was great, right on the beach with a wonderful view. Beach was uncrowded and clean (October). If you get a change take a Segway tour, so much fun.
No bad experiences at all, either at the hotel or out and about.

We spent our honeymoon here for 12 days! We were told that the Hilton was Not the place for us by friends and family. Nothing could be further from the truth. I would not want to stay anywhere but here! They have by far the best beach area. All of the so-called hotels on the beach have eroded beaches! The Hilton has several pools and hot tubs, a lagoon, a kids pool with slides. We didn't eat here much because it was pricy but all of the shops and restaurants are a short walk. Our favorite the Shorebird. Beachfront dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our room was fantastic! I was not expecting any kind of view because we got a standard room. We had a beautiful view of the lagoon and beach. Our room was BIG and the beds are the most comfortable I've ever slept in! I wanted to buy one! Staff is friendly and helpful. Free hula lessons, snorkeling lessons etc. Our stay was fabulous!!!!! A++++++ Way to go Hilton!

Our stay was fantastic, the resort was wonderful, just taking a stroll around on one of the many wandering paths was reaxing, breathtaking, yet so peaceful, The resort is "Happy", very upbeat, but beware they do nickle and dime you to death! If you are aware, the Hilton Hawaiian Village is one to be repeated! I can't wait until I can figure a way to go back soon!
Some of the pools got crowded with the little ones, but we chose to stay close to our tower and spent most of our pool time at the Tapa Tower pool.
I went with my best friend, we arrived in time for her birthday, made reservations at Sergios Italian restaurant, the meal was marvelous, and they had a nice presentation of desert with Happy Birthday written on the plate in a very nice chocolate sauce. It was done with grace and style.

Room was great. The whole resort was clean and beautiful. The restaurants were on the pricey side. The Rainbow Lani has great food but $*.00 for the buffet was steep. We had 1 buffet and on Omelet on the menu for breakfast and the total was $*. It is better to eat off property. The Rock n Roll Review and Fireworks display on Fridays was awesome. All the staff was friendly. Location was great. Would stay again.
