This hotel has the most customer friendly staff. We have traveled all over, we have been at Marriott, La Quinta, The Mosossa, and Confort Suites. By far this hotel is the top of the ladder. The employees have helped us with directions, where to go, where to eat, all with smiles, and how are you today. We have stayed with this hotel 6 times now, in two years. In future, it will be twice a year again, WE LOVE THESE EMPLOYEE""S. THEY ARE THE BEST WE HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED>

We were assigned a room (not a suite) for four nights. Worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Toilet tissue holder was under my chin. No balcony, no view. Clock and lamps were broken. Dresser drawers stayed rolled out and would not close simply because no one bothered to level the furniture. Closet door was jammed and would not slide. Extremely poor design of room space. Pool area was grungy and so was the gym. Furniture in our room consisted of old hand-me-downs and only included the basics. No thought was given to comfort. On the morning we checked out, there were bugs in our beds. Yeccchhh!!! Hotel staff was indifferent and unenthusiastic. Hot breakfast buffet was unappetizing - consisted of powdered eggs. Evening manager's special buffet was hot dogs. Wow. This is a room they would ordinarily charge * per night for. Unbelievable. How do places like this stay in business?

The Hawthorn Suites is an older motel in the process of remodeling. The rate for the room was great but I would probably spend a little more money next time and get a more modern motel. The room was clean and well equiped but the bathroom was tiny( I had to move out of the way to close the door once inside and nearly tripped over the toilet). Great breakfast the next morning. Had a cramped parking lot and the spaces weren't long enough for my pickup. A stay there is survivable if you need to save some money.

This was a beautiful hotel. A full kitchen and seperate rooms. Extremely friendly staff. The facility was small, but not too small, I think i would call it more comfortable than anything else. Fresh baked cookied delivered to the room everyday, and a smiling face when ever you approached or were approached by staff. Very clean, inside and out. The pool also had a hot tub, and there are tennis and basketball courts. An onsite laundry facility was particularly nice too. The full kitchen was a nice touch too. It had everything including the pots and pans to cook with, and a dishwasher to wash them in. The location was great too. Close to the Interstate as well as shopping facilities (groceries and the mall). Six Flags can be seen from the front lobby. It is literally in the middle of everything. I am looking forward to my next trip to Arlington and staying there at the Hawthorne Suites.

We were very unsure about staying at this hotel because of a few of the reviews. We usually always stay at Marriott but was unable to because they were either booked or not pet-friendly. We really like this hotel. It was old but you could not tell by the inside of the rooms. It was a 1 bedroom suite which was very large like a small apartment with a huge walk in closet. The kitchen was nice with everything you need such as coffee cups, glasses, bowls, silverware. The airconditioning worked very well as it was 110 degrees outside. The beds were awesome, very large and soft. The staff was very helpful and nice. The bathroom was very very small but not a major problem. The pool is very small. The pictures online make it look bigger than it is.The kids enjoyed it but as an adult you realy couldn't enjoy the pool for all of the noise and splashing. Overall, we enjoyed the hotel and it was right across the street from Six Flags.
