Due to the NASCAR race there was not much left in the Phoenix area. The parking lot area of the motel was clean, but inside, needed some work. The place needs a face lift and a good deep scrubbing. The floors are filthy. My kid's socks were black from walking around IN THE ROOM. Lots of thinks broken in the hallways and stairs. There was graffiti on some of the signs in the hallway.
Our first room had a strong odor of chemicals in it and what looked like blood spots on the walls. The next room was better but still not as clean as I would like. The fridge was not plugged in and there was no room for it anyways. The firdge was at the foot of one of the beds. There was only one light in the room.
There is no security at the motel. The card reader to let only guests in was broken so anyone could access the inside. The motel is right on one busy street and the parking lot is right on I-10.
THEN, when I get home I see that they overcharged my card by over $230. I will say that Gary the manager took care of that problem right away.
In short, even if this is the last place in Phoenix, I'll sleep in my truck! -

If you want a hotel with a terrible so-called continental breakfast, a place where you have to get your electroic key changed once a day, a place that has no hot water on your check out day and a place where constant construction and remodeling is going on, this is the place for you. Otherwise, stay somewhere else even if you have to spend a few extra bucks.

Bathtub floor was cracked, it was really soft like it was subfloor or dirt under it. All water didn't go down drain. Room had water damage on ceiling. Room stunk like mildew/mold. Decor has been changed a few times with no repainting. Offered me 50% off my next stay for the trouble, but I am definitely never going there again!

I booked on-line, and the reality was NOTHING compared. The lobby stank, very unprofessional manager, complained about maids, etc during check-in. Furniture in room looked like it was picked up on the side of the street. For the price charged, I expected MUCH MUCH more.
