I usually do not stay at a hotel in a typical touristy locale as I go on mini vacations just to get away from all the trappings, but I have to say that I was really pleased with the hotel. It was clean, on the beach and the staff were all friendly. Having access to the computer was a plus. The hotel was a distance from the noisy places in Daytona, but close enough to restaurants, etc. I will stay again.

One of the best hotels I have stayed at. This is an older hotel, but it has been kept up nicely and updated regularly. Perfect ocean front rooms with balconies, direct beach access from the pool area. Staff was friendly and helpful, they went out of their way to help us. This is a great hotel for families who want a relaxing vacation on the ocean. It is near lots of restaraunts, and near lots of things to do, for both children and adults.

My family of 4 stayed in this hotel for 2 nights on our way up the coast from the Keys. For the price, it was definately a great place to lay your head. Great view of the ocean, nice sized area to lay out, and you can walk right onto the beach. We really enjoyed ourselves, and with the few hundred we saved on the hotel, we were able to splurge a bit more in the shops on the boardwalk. It was a bit of a drive from the boardwalk and most attractions, but for the price and size, I didn't mind a bit. Staff was very familiar with the area, and had great suggestions for dinner. Parking garage was a great bonus as well.

We travel to Daytona every year and this was our first stay at Days Inn. Really, the only complaint I have is with the description of the hotel; not all rooms have balconies/ocean views; this is deceiving. I'm guessing this is why they offer an ""upgrade"" which is never explained, but costs an extra $20 or so. Our room wasn't ready when we checked in, so we were given an upgrade, which was an ocean view balcony and a kitchenette. The room was clean. The beds were great, as were the pillows. We had an ample supply of towels every day. The entire staff was very helpful. The lobby had a guest computer that was great for printing boarding passes; there was also fresh coffee every day. Beach accees was very easy; the hot tub looked dirty (or perhaps full of sand). Nonetheless, it never looked clean. Elevator was very fast; good water pressure in the shower; and the air conditioner worked well. This hotel is on the southern end of the strip, so there isn't a lot of ""action""...it took a good 11 miles to get to the Outback in Ormond. There are plenty of little shops and stores, and some fast food places like BK and Pizza Hut. It is a good place for kids. In my opinion, we got a lot for the money. It's not the Hilton, but it was clean and comfortable for the amount of time we actually spent in the room. We will stay again.

The young man at the front desk was very helpful, even printed direction from Map Quest for us. The housekeeping staff was great, very friendly. Room was large, clean and neat, couldn't have picked a better place.
