The staff was nice and the rooms where kept clean. My husband enjoyed the coffee alot. It was close to hershey park and it made it easier for the travel. The staff was helpful with directions and places to eat. The other guest where nice and friendly too. The pool was kept clean and was fun.

Staff very friendly and accomodating. Room was clean, no odors or musty smell. While this is an older property, the staff works to keep it clean and in good condition. We did not get a chance to use any of the amenities (breakfast, pool, etc), but were very pleased with the room. Bed matress was comfortable and firm, the sofa sleeper matress was in good condition and acceptably comfortable for the 12 year old. We'll stay here again - it's a great location for base of operations for Gettysburg, Hershey, and even the area around Carlisle. WiFi hotspot in the room was sporadic, we had to change locations a couple of times to get a solid signal, but once we found the spot it was good to go for the duration of the online work we needed to accomplish. All in all - a hidden gem. Outer doors to parking area did not have security locks for after hours security - that was the only downside of this property. Management has three locking sets on the doors - chain, hoop bar and deadbolt, so the room was secure enough for us.

The front desk was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The maid service was great. It's an older hotel especially in the bathroom were paint is flaking and rusty faucets. But it was clean. Had problems with the heater, its an older unit so it always stays on. They did come and fix it. It was around 20 to 30 degrees while I was there so the heater is really important. the lower floors have a small patio that's nice. The rooms are located in wings that do not have a security door. Anyone can come in and out without a room key. However, area seemed pretty safe. It's near a major mall and lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. For the price, its definitely a great deal, safe, convenient and friendly...

I didn't know Ho Jo's were still around. Musty hallways but the room was ok. The ac was cold, but my wife thought it was loud. Most of the people there were going to Hershey park. We weren't, so we had the pool to ourselves all day. Fridge, microwave, tv, hairdryer and coffepot all worked fine. There was plenty of hot water and good pressure. The hotel was located next to everything. 10 or 15 mins to the park. I thought the place was great, but we're not 5 star people. We would rather spend our money having fun than on a hotel. As long as the place is clean who cares, we only sleep there.

My family stayed here for 2 nights. We had a wonderful time. Room was very clean, bed was comfy. Pool was just out the back sliding door. Very conveient to everything. Not far from Hershey Park. If in the area again . Would stay here. Front desk people were very helpful with directions. Nice and quite at night. Big pool. plenty of towels. Recommended.
