- The Hotel will be undergoing guest room renovations from December 18, 2009 thru April 5, 2010. Renovations will take place during the hours of 8:30am - 6:00pm and should not affect the comfort of the hotel guests.

Don't stay, hotel located away from transportation, no cab service, shuttles are unpredicatble, no customer service, no concieger, snooty staff, aburbtly awaken to a fire evaculation at 3 am; hotel sprinklers turned on; no apology; BIG Disappointment! Moved to Embassy Suite after 3rd night of mishaps. Not a family freindly hotel; we have traveled many places never had we expereinced such lack of customer services or willingness to help. Hotel is old and in need of renovation; We paid for a view - not worth it! Bumber this hotel is not deserving of the name Hyatt Regency!

The best thing about this hotel is the rate compared to the quality of the facility. The restaurant was good; a somewhat limited menu ;the view out over the Charles River was wonderful. Room service was slow from an overworked staff; twice we returned in mid-afternoon to find the room hadn't been cleaned; we had to call twice for clean towels. There is little to see or do withing 1.5 miles of the hotel so taxis were a necessity- everytime you want to go across the river to Boston!

After 5 hrs on the road from NJ we arrived at 1 am at the hotel in Boston.The ac was very noise, the all room was duty,smelly ,the glass door wont not close.This week in Boston was hard to get another hotel ,we wont use this hotel again.

Although the Hyatt Cambridge is quite elegant, I was dismayed to find that their garage charges $for overnight parking and that wireless access cost us another $. I would gladly have traded the glass elevator and 16 story atrium for free parking. Or even cheaper parking. Of course, there is no street parking in the neighborhood. I would have appreciated a warning about that huge parking fee; it would have sent me to a different hotel.

We enjoyed our stay. The location is convenient to Fenway (sadly we didn't have tickets) and almost on the MIT campus. Right on the river and an easy walk through the campus to the T. Our room rate included the Breakfast Buffet and it was a really nice spread, helpful waiters provided unlimited juice, coffee and tea. Only negative comment, for such a nice place, why provide only plastic cups for water and bathroom use?
