We paid almost $*** for one night at this hotel, and it was terrible. We asked for a non-smoking room, and we got a smoking room. The smoke detector beeped constantly, there were no complimentary toiletries in the room, the desk staff was unprofessional, the continental breakfast was poor, and the toilet seat was dirty when we arrived. The room smelled so bad that we had to wash every single article of clothing when we went back home, because the smell from the room had permeated our belongings. I didn't walk around barefoot while I was there and I slept in pajamas that covered my entire body. I do not recommend this hotel at all.

Breakfast was bagel bites in shrink-wrap.. pastries in shrink-wrap that were not appealing. Cold cereal. No tea. No cups on two days. I went through three irons and none worked properly. No face towels one day. DANGEROUS neighborhood. I did not go out after dark alone. Got panhandled anyway. No elevator. I did not find any hairs on stuff, though. Is that a plus?

Went to Memphis for the Civil Rights Game between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Cleveland Indians. Upon arrival we recieved a clean room and a working tv and air conditioning. The beds were a little firm and the pillows were kind of flat but otherwise it was a nice place to spend the night. Didn't have a problem with noise outside the hotel unless you count Mother Nature for there was a big storm that evening.

My husband and I were on our way to the St. Jude Memphis marathon which I encourage all to do. This hotel was very adequate. It had all the necessities to keep us comfy before and after the race. It was even surprisingly quiet for Memphis.

Further from Beale Street than expected and the AC didn't work in the first room. The price is WAY too much for what you get. We paid the same for a HOTEL downtown and much more convenient. There is NO coffee maker or iron, etc. The coffee provided was colored water. The management DID move us to a room with working AC but the beds are too hard. Very disappointed. Will NOT stay here again.
