My family and I came to our nephews graduation...Booked this in advance.We wanted a ground floor,but got the second floor..When we walked in, the smell was HORRIBLE...I booked a non-smoking room.The roomed smelled of smoke....with an non-smoking sign on desk...The desk was filthySticky stuff all of the top,crap on desk chair.Sink mirror looked liked some one spit on it.Didn't go any further. Beds looked slepted in ..So we stepped ,shut the door. and had to ask for another room..Got one then,on the ground floor. hummm?! So look before you book at Red Roof Inn ...We had no choice but to change to another room...NIght and Day in the cleaning and smell...So would we stay again NO.It is worth cutting corners on other expenses and pay for a better hotel...There are several choices around the Red Roof Inn. Had I known. I don't know about you,but I work hard for my money, and other hotels are MUCH BETTER. We deserve Clean...

We needed a place to stay overnight on our way to Chicago from the Columbus, Ohio area. Rather that spend alot of money for two nights in Chicago, we opted for one night at Red Roof and one night in Chicago. It worked our well. I would stay there again.

This hotel meets the needs of the traveling family on a tight budget. Clean rooms, towels and sheets and overall cleanliness was better than other chain hotels. The new pillows were a little too soft and there were no extras, but the TV worked with a large variety and it was close to good restaurants and the mall, gas stations and activities.

Okay, Red Roof is priding itself on redoing their rooms for a more modern twist...and I'll give them that. The room had some potential. However, it was DIRTY! Cobwebs on the bedframe up by the headboard. Paper on the floor hanging out from under the bed. Dirt so thick on baseboards it was black. Carpet felt greasy underfoot. Bathroom door inable to shut and severely damaged on the top. Then the safety of the room was questionable. When the outside door was shut and bolted, about 3/4 of an inch was visable. We could actually see outside...clearly...by looking thru the space between the door frame and the door. My huge husband, was nervous. We pushed furniture up against the door. Let me tell you, a cheaper room rate was NOT worth all the downsides. Indiana has a problem with cleaniness anyway in restuarants and hotels (stayed and visited many), but this motel might have topped them all! My family has decided to forgo anymore hotels/motels in Indiana. Unless we want to pay close to $150, we can't get anything decent! Think twice before staying here!

Not a good weekend.
05/27/2007I was here at this location for two nights for a wedding, and needless to say the beds were not at all comfortable. i would have been better off sleeping ...
I was here at this location for two nights for a wedding, and needless to say the beds were not at all comfortable. I would have been better off sleeping in my car. Secondly, they had a group staying both nights at the hotel, did not get much sleep due to all the noise and running up and down the halls at all hours of the night. You better go somewhere else and not waste your time here.
