the chateau bourbon was a great place to stay in new orleans. the rooms were spacious, the bathroom quite large with a separate dressing area and the people were so nice. a special feature is the workout room which is nearly as equipped as my personal trainer's gym. the hotel sits just off bourbon street so the location is terrrific as well! t

Parking is super pricey

Traveled to NOLA for a girls weekend- nothing was mentioned about the parking being super pricey ($* for three nights) or that it was either valet or across Burbon st. ($* difference) Hotel was nice enough, but for about the same money, stay in the Mariott. Had to call from an outside line to get the front desk as they would never answer the phone from our room- no iron in room, TV went out. Small quirky things that add up.

I stayed at this hotel during JazzFest and would stay there again. It is very centrally located in the French Quarter and is right off Bourbon Street. Jackson Square and Frenchman street are a little bit off a walk, but not too far. The rooms were clean, spacious and nice. The pool/outdoor bar is a nice little area to hang out, get sun and have some drinks. The only small downside was the staff. Check-in took a while and the staff did not seem very knowledgable of the area. We asked for restuarant advice on two occassions and we got wrong information and bad directions both times. Given that these were the only times we interacted with the staff, it did not make for a good track record. FYI...parking is costly, but that may not be a function of the hotel, but rather the centralized location.

Hotel is clean, beds are comfortable. We did call and ask if they had in room coffee makers and were told they did, but they DO NOT! The breakfast buffet is expensive as well as cold. Our shower had only a stream of water about 3/4" big and would not adjust.

03/03/2009Got there at 8:30 am let us check in early slept from 9:30am to 3:30pm ready to go and party. great time will use again !!!!!!
GOT THERE AT 8:30 AM LET US CHECK IN EARLY SLEPT FROM 9:30AM TO 3:30PM READY TO GO AND PARTY. GREAT TIME WILL USE AGAIN !!!!!!
