A good experience starting with the friendly check in lady. No long wait at check in like the strip places. Good room located in the heart of the Fremont experience. Don't spend the whole week at the strip, spend at least a day in downtown.

The Fremont is an older hotel/casino, but don't let that bother you. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and not outdated. It doesn't have the amenities of the big shots on the strip, but I guarantee you will get an honest smile from the staff.

I went to Vegas to do a little gambling, sight-see, catch a few shows, etc. I DIDN"T go to sit in the room and read. The room was not a sit-in and read type of room but more of a clean safe place to catch som zzzz's and get back out on the street. It's a good wqys from the Strip, but there are commuter buses or cabs. I'd go back.

Obviously not a four star hotel but it was clean. I'm extremely picky about the clean part. I can do old so long as it's clean and the Fremont rooms were clean. Perhaps this is because they recently redecorated/remodeled within the last few years. The bed was comfortable and say what you will about the old style air room air conditioner - it kept the room cool and helped drown out any outside or hallway noise making it easier to sleep.
