Wish we'd stayed somewhere else

For $* per night, I expected the lobby to be better-maintained. It was shabby and dirty. Our non-smoking room, with its room number taped to the hallway wall, reeked of cigarette smoke so much that our clothes smelled like it when we left. I sprayed the room with 1/2 bottle of Febreze, but a few hours later, the smell returned. The bathroom: the faucet itself moved around when you turned the water on - needs some plumbing work done. The tiles lining the floor were loose and crumbling. At first I thought the tub was dirty - but after rinsing it, I think it was actually stained. The floor had not been swept - there was hair, a small piece of paper and an earring back on the floor when we walked in. The bed was apparently old - lumpy and uncomfortable, you could tell that many people had worn a groove in it. At night, frequently there were people moving around in the hallway, talking loudly. The walls are apparently pretty thin because we could hear the people next to us "enjoying their night out" loudly. The ice machine on our floor was broken. With 5 floors, there was always a line for the one elevator. The only good thing about this place was the wireless internet did work for us, and because we had to stay further away from our destination, we had to drive through town, and got to know the town a little more. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It was dirty and overpriced.

I must say that 2 years ago when I stayed it wasn't good. BUT...now it's great . They have a Resturant now, with good food and great prices. The new bedding is much much better. MUCH cleaner NOW. Staff is great too!!!

They have a newly open resturant and bar on site now. The employees were great. Very pleasent to deal with. They have gotten all new bedding since the last time I stayed there. They also have all new equipment in their fitness center as well. Too bad they only have an outdoor pool, but that was very nice this pass summer when I was there before. I will go back there when ever I getthe chance to be in Towson.

Have stayed there several times...my son attends a local university. This trip was scary!!! We were very tired after a long ride from home in very bad weather. My husband feel asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow.I wish i was that lucky!!! While preparing for bed, I noticed the FIRST mousetrap under the desk. Then I noticed another in the bathroom and by the heating unit. If my spouse wasn't fast asleep, I would have insisted we leave. The thing that really bothers me about this, is that nothing was done after it was brought to the attention of the management. I also emailed the customer service dept fot this hotel chain (several times in fact), and they could not be bothered to answer!!! I will surely not spend another night there...listening for every potential 'mouse' sound!!!
