  My husband and I decided late one night to make a reservation to spend one night in Prescott to enjoy the lighting of the tree at the courthouse. We called this hotel and spoke to a very nice man who took our reservation.. Due to very bad weather (flooding and heavy rain) the morning of our drive up I called to cancel.. We had spoken to a gentleman at the hotel the night before and he said is was very very wet there and after watching the news reports here in Phoenix.. we decided it was best not to go.. When I called to cancel I was told there was a 48 cancelation requirement. At no time were we informed of that.. the person who I was speaking to said that of course we were "it is checked off". I assured the man that I was speaking to that I had not been informed and would have not made the reservation if that was the case.. after some discussion he said he would talk to the person that made our reservation and he might "let me out of it".. I asked if he would please call to let me know and here replied "no".. then said "ok, I will let you out of it, but do me a favor and never make reservations here again"..
  
  Ok.. and we will make sure none of our friends or coworkers or associates will as well.
  I can understand being charged some type of fee $50 or something like that.. but really not to be told and then to be accused of lying. .. is a bit much..

  This great little inn is the best kept secret in Prescott. I've been visiting my daughter there off and on for years, and never knew of the place until surfing on Travelocity recently. Spent 4 nights in this friendly, lovely hotel, and would recommend it very highly to anyone.
