We stayed for 6 days at the turtle bay resort in October for our honeymoon. We loved it! If you can, get a beach cottage ( you get complimentary items and your on personal concierge). The cottages are like the penthouses at other hotels. They were beautiful! Words and the pictures cannot describe it. The pictures do not do it justice I promise! Im very picky so trust me! The beds were soft with high thread count sheets , the tub was huge, shower was better than the one at home!Everyone was extremly friendly, I was quite surprised since it is like a luxury resort! Room service was great! It was expensive but were in Hawaii is the food not expensive? The palm terrace resturant like I said is expensive but is good. The pool was awesome with a great view of the ocean. The walking trails were beautiful also. I really am at a lost for words because this place is too great for me to be describing . I was scared to stay here at first from reading some bad reviews but the place has been renovated and exceeded my expectations!! The only thing that might bother some people ( it didnt us) is you have about 45 min to get into the city. Its fine though beautiful views along the way!My husband and I both thought that we would go back and see other islands but instead we will just go back to oahu and stay at turtle bay! This place made our honeymoon! P.S. If you are a lost fan their campsite is like 20 min away and we actually saw John Locke at the grocery store!

We stayed here for our honeymoon in a beach cottage. Nice room, not extravagant, not exactly as nice as I expected with the price I paid. Beach nearly comes right up to the porch which was awsome. During high tide the sea turtles are easy to see in the water in front of the cottages. Also, sometimes you can see monk seals on the beach by the stables. Beautiful view, manicured landscaping. Staff helpful and professional. It is remote, which is what I wanted, but you will need a car unless you want to spend your vacation waiting for the bus. Meals at the hotel are wildly overpriced (appitizer & 2 entrees without alcohol = $100, 2 person breakfast buffett = $60). My recommendations is to go to Haleiwa or Leia (20 min by car) for meals which are reasonably priced. Also, in both of those towns there is a Foodland to buy snacks and drinks. Also, I highly recommend the sunset horseback ride even though it is about $100/person. It was unbelievable to ride on horseback through the jungle and on the beach. Hope this review helps.

Hotel staff overall are friendly. Stayed in cottages where you have your own concierge for cottages. Besides maid service, is turn down service at nite. Tried most of the restaurants, while they were expensive, they were also good. Remember this is a resort with 2 - 18 hole courses, tennis, horseback, surfing, diving, snorkel, spa, gym.The grounds are large 880 acres, used the walking trails, there nice.Alot of landscape, someone has to help pay for the work it takes to make it look good.Your on an island where almost all items are imported. Put that together with maintenance and there is why these resorts are pricey.I found TB to be a great place overall.

What a beautiful place. My husband and I loved this isolated part of the island and the beautiful amenities of the resort. The views were incredible, and every night we slept to the sound of the waves crashing. All of the staff we encountered were very helpful and friendly, and we had amazing views of sunsets and sunrises. We loved being away from the hustle of Honolulu. If you haven't been to this side of the island, you haven't experienced Oahu. Definitely a return for us is in order!
