If freight trains rumbling along all night just outside your window sounds appealing then this is the hotel for you. The mattress was worn out and the rooms are well past the need for a remodeling job. When we entered the lobby, you have to navigate around yellow plastic caution ribbon to get to the check in counter. That should have been our first warning. On entering the room you are met with the odor of mold and mildew. If we had only paid $ for this room then I would say we got what we paid for, but we paid almost $, which I found appalling for this property. I would never stay there again and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel was fairly clean as were the rooms. They were in the process of renovating the hotel I think, since there was some contruction going on mainly on the outside. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful since they arranged a taxi to be available for us at the time needed. However, when we checked in I asked where our room was in reference to the construction and was told on the opposite side of the hotel. Was I surprised when our window was covered in plastic and looked up as we were dressing for a wedding to be at and saw the silloute of a person just on the other side (we were on the 2nd floor)! Obviously we were either lied to or the front desk clerk doesn't know the location of his rooms.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The Sales manager was very helpful in assisting me to plan a very small surprise birthday party for my sister and nephew. They were VERY surprised and the Holiday Inn staff made it possible!!

I took a quick trip from Alaska to Nashville simply to pick up a puppy. The people at the hotel were most pleasant. The rooms were very neat and clean and I was surprised to find a fridge and microwave as well as free internet hookup in the rooms. I was impressed that with allowing dogs/pets, we weren't stuck in a smoking room. I liked the location and really wished I could have stayed longer to enjoy the place and take advantage of the services. I wouldn't hesitate to return to this place and would recommend it highly.
