This is the best resort my wife and I have ever stayed. The staff are excellent and eager to please. On our check-in, they upgraded our room without our even asking. We had a garden view that was a partial ocean view on the first floor. The walk out double doors to the beautifully landscaped grounds were lovely, and the multitude of fish ponds make for an idyllic setting. Rooms are large, the beds and pillows extremely comfortable, and staff very responsive and eager to please. The snorkeling from the beach club was as good as any we found on the island, almost as good as the best recommended areas, and so convenient! The drinks were excellent, and the food at the ocean view was good, not great. We did not eat at the Canoe House. Drinks and food were pricey, but the staff and ambience more than makes up for it. Not much in the way of evening entertainment, but just walking around the beach and fish ponds or swinging in a hammock on the beach make for a great relaxing time. The fitness center and lap pools are outstanding. I definitely recommend the Mauna Lani and will visit again!

All I have to say is WOW. From the time we walked into the Hotel until we left it was first class all the way. We renewed our vows and they were so helpful. You get a first class Hotel without the feel of a Corporate Resort. Hands down the best on the Island. Thanks

This Hotel was absolutely fabulous in every aspect of our stay. The Hotel Staff went out of their way to make our stay pleasant including almost never letting us carry a bag. The golf was fantastic at the two on premises golf courses. You can store your clubs at the clubhouse if you're playing several days, plus the hotel staff will take them over for you when you arrive if you want. The level of service was second to none. Hotel rooms, dining, and activities were all very nice.

Compared to the other resorts we saw on the Big Island, this hotel was the most beautiful. We had an ocean front room that was well appointed and clean. Staff was very accomadating rearranging activity schedules to meet our schedule. There was plenty to do at the resort and good activites for kids. The beach bar grill is great but skip the Canoe House. Also skip the Luau's.
