The hotel was okay. Nothing fancy for a Sheraton. The room was acceptable except for the peeling wall paper and missing tissue holder, the beach is nice and clean, the pools are in good shape. My biggest problem was the $ resort fee that is not mentioned when you make your reservation via telepone. Only my husband and I stayed did not need the resort fee activities such as internet access, volleyball games, activities for children, sports equipment - we just wanted to relax on the beach. The resort fee seems to cover everything we did not use except for parking for which we had no choice. If there were organized activities we were not informed and the staff at the front desk didn't quite know about it either. The person at check-in seem to be in a hurry and threw the key on the counter so that she could continue whatever we interrupted when trying to check-in. My complaints went unheard at the hotel. Immediately after staying at the Sheraton, we stayed at a Hampton Inn in another town and the rooms, service and complimentary coffee/breakfast/internet access was a treat. I would have expected more from a Sheraton.

We drove to Atlantic Beach from Kentucky. Love the beach location and the things to do for the kids. Pirate stories at night were a big hit. Kids camp was ok...could have been a little longer. Really enjoyed the location on the beach. We will remember this vacation. People were incredibly friendly.

Fantastic weekend. Visited on Meorial Day weekend. Loved the venue, the food, and everything we needed was there. Never had to leave the hotel. Only complaint was not enough lounge chairs by the pool. But it was a holiday weekend, so it was a large crowd. Molly's has the best cheeseburgers! If you like watching the sunset over the beach while you lloungie by the pool sipping a margarita, you'll enjoy the Sheraton.
