I would reccomend this hotel to everyone and anyone. perfect location, has a full kitchen with all appliances and the hotel staff was awesome. the front desk people are so nice and the concierge desk did everything they could to help us out with tours and to save money. i would defintley come here and stay again. our room had the garden view, so it was about a blocks walk to the ocean, but worth it because everyday we got to walk through the beautiful orchid gardens to get to the beach.

THE ROOMS WERE NICE AND THE KITCHENS WERE CLEAN AND HAD KITCHEN WEAR FOR US TO USE. THE CONDO WE WERE IN WAS ON THE CORNER AND THE BIRDS WERE VERY NOISY AND THE FRUIT TREE SMELLED BAD. ALSO NO POOL ON THE PROPERTY?THEY NEED TO PUT A POOL IN. THE POOL THEY HAVE US USE IS VERY SMALL AND YOU HAVE TO DRIVE OR IT IS A LONG WALK?.. IT IS EASIER WALKING TO THE BEACH OR USE THE HOTEL NEXT DOOR BECAUSE MY PARENTS WERE STAYING THERE. THE ROOMS AND GARDENS ARE GREAT. GO TO KIMO?S FOR SNORKELING GEAR.

We checked in quite tired from the flight. At first, I immediately noticed the road noise behind our room, and at the same time, noticed the excellent room layout (1 bedroom) and view we were afforded. Kauai has "grown" considerably since my last visit in 1978, from a sleepy island to a bustling one in certain areas, gradually getting noisier over the years. Only near the ends of the roads (Northern part of the island) are the places where nature has taken over, humanity has yet to dominate. I seek calmness juxtaposed to the hustle-bustle of my normal doctor's life. I need quiet to relax, and especially to sleep. After 2 days, I began to feel the relaxed part of me surface, and it remained with me for the entire trip. When I returned, I noticed everyone seems too stressed where I live! I would get up in the morning, eat breakfast in our room (which had a fully-functional kitchen) and then go for a swim in the ocean, which was around 70 F degrees. Cool at first contact, but then pleasant. The Marriot next door had several pools and a much smaller beach and more people, which made it appear crowded when I walked by it to rent a surfboard. The concierge alerted us well to the local amenities, and we went scuba diving our 3rd day, enjoyably, although someone else had a stroke and someone died wind surfing of cardiac arrest, so "know your limitiations!" We had a great scuba experience (I am certified, she went for her first dive). We saw turtles galore and many beautiful fish. We rented snorkeling stuff from the hotel and took underwater photos. I ate a lot of fresh tuna sashimi and drank Mai Tais and beer after 5.

We will definitely stay here again if we have the opportunity to revisit Kauai. We stayed in #106 which was at the back of the resort, but had a wonderful ocean view in our estimation. The unit was somewhat dated, but clean. If street noise would bother your sleep, be sure to get a unit away from the road. Check out the ATV tour on Kipu Ranch. It was a blast!
