Crossland evicted me for politely complaining about bad service, 10 days into my 30-day reservation. I begged the home office, Extended Stay Hotels, to stop my eviction the next morning, but they refused and were very nasty about it. The Manager apparently had disconnected my phone in retaliation to my first two complaints. When I complained about the phone, he came up to my room, banged on my door, and yelled at me. When I opened the door, he yelled that I was rude to his clerk, and he tried to push my door open and enter my room. I shut the door, and later walked to the restaurant next door to call the Glendale Police, who simply backed the Manager, who said he wanted me out of there by the next morning. I had planned to stay for at least two months. I had moved my own TV, desktop computer and other things into my room, and I had my mail and newspaper delivered there. So I moved out the next day. I didn't even have time to make other arrangements. I wrote Extended Stay's Legal Dept. a letter about it, and asked for $* in damages. They offered me $*. I was so outraged about such an unlawful action, I rejected the offer, and looked for an attorney. After I could not find an attorney, I accepted their offer, but they had withdrawn the offer, and then refused to pay me anything! Talk about negotiating in bad faith. I will never stay at any of the five Extended Stay brands ever again. Don't stay in Glendale, CO, either. It's Mayor and City Council ignored my complaint.

The room itelf was adequate, however the front dest worker was unhelpfull and the room had a pervasive and very unpleasant smell. The biggest problem is that this motel appears to be primarily a residence for seasonal workers. I stayed here with other female friends and when we checked in their were numerous men hanging around the property drinking. It was very loud all night with shouts and fighting. This lodging was advewrtised as a family proprty, so I expected it to be safe and moderately quiet. While our "neighbors" were polite in the early evening, the activities throughout the night made it seem unwise and possibly unsafe for any of us to leave the room unaccompanied.
