Ummm...she was right. Terribly hard beds. You have to exchange your own towels. I guess it was a place to stay out of the elements but not much more. Very rough toilet paper. ***BONUS*** there are nasty people who live there hanging out & kids always outside playing (school?) Also, the manager & staff are kind enough to smoke in the corridor that leads to the elevator...gotta luv that!! But other that that it was fabulous! The staff was very nice & courteous. Oh & I almost forgot, you have to sign out the iron & ironing board...really!? Needless to say, I will NEVER stay at a Crossland Economy Studios again. :o)

Yes, it's cheap - however, minimal customer service (not much help from the desk, they clean the room once per week, you have to exchange your dirty towels and if you don't empty your rubbish, it piles up). No pool, no other pluses (there's a little kitchenette which is the only reason to consider staying here). Wireless internet signal was very, very weak and it was lost frequently. Room is bare-bones, tiny double bed, wooden chair, worn walls and carpeting - the overall look was tired. Walls were painted white and looked worn, bathroom was iffy - the shower was a stand-up stall with a seat. Located in sort of a dirty part of the neighborhood (the cops showed up at an adjacent room at least once during the stay, nothing like hearing "open up, it's the police" right outside your door). Yes, I try to be thrifty when I travel business since I need to be a value to my clients, but there's a difference between being thrifty and buying junk. This one is junk.

This had to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed and could ever imagine staying in. When we checked in, we woke up the clerk and security guard from their little backroom area in the office. Then I asked for a queen bed in a non-smoking room. When I went to room, I opened the door and found a smallish double bed in a room that had not been cleaned. The sheets were rumpled up and there was garbage all over the room. Gross! I should have just left at this time. I get a new room and go in. This room is "clean" in the bed is made and there is not garbage all over. However, the room smelled like urine and there was paint peeling off several walls. The bed was hard as a rock and the pillow was as flat as could be. Needless to say it was a hard nights sleep. I was also on the side facing I-25 and there apparently was no insulation in the wall because I clearly heard every motorcycle and auto w/o a muffler that drove bye. I stayed 2 nights before I finally had the time to find a new hotel that was clean, quiet and didn't smell of urine. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DUMP!!!!
