  We didn't know before booking our room that the hotel allowed pets. The plaster was peeling off the wall where it met the ceiling in the bedroom and there were several water leak stains. The next day we asked to be moved, and were given a new room without any difficulties. That room smelled cleaner but the carpet was still obviously soiled and in dire need of cleaning. The countertops, cabinets, walls, and doors were all dirty and easily cleaned off with sanitary wipes I had purchased for the first room. The bathtub fixtures were loose and the water was difficult to shut off at the faucet. Also the tub and bathroom sink drained very slowly and there was no fan in the bathroom. We chose this hotel because we had a great experience at the Candlewood Suites in Lake Mary, and assumed the lower price was because of location, not quality. We were wrong.
