I stayed for two nights and my stay was GREAT!! The check-in process took no more than four minutes. A nice young clerk gave me the rundown for breakfast details, pool and fitness center, and parking options. My room was clean and comfortable. The bed was heavenly. On Friday night, an athletic group was staying at the hotel and was very excited. The night clerk came up and settled the group in a very professional way and all guests were able to sleep. I was very impressed with the gentle but professional way the night clerk handled a problem which could have accelerated into an ugly scene.

Suites were nice and roomy. The 42 inch flat screens are an added bonus and the rates were great! Unfortunately, the service left alot to be desired. The staff was illprepared to direct us to any local attractions. They seemed disinterested in assisting us as well. The workout room wasn't very impressive and heading into the summer, the pool was inaccessible. This was something that should've been shared in advance as my party included a small child looking forward to this amenity. Overall, I score the venue a 7 out of 10, but that is due in large part to the tv as we played video games late into the night. Had we not done that, the rating would be 5 out of 10.

Nice hotel, near a large mall, in a suburban area south of Birmingham. Facilities are clean, front desk staff were kind and helpful. Free Wifi and okay continental breakfast bar were the ""extras."" Also nice were the flat screen TV's in each room.

I lived in Birmingham and returned for a Visit. This is a wonderful hotel, across the highway from the Galleria Mall. Lots of good shopping, food, and entertainment within 2 miles. The room was modern and very utilitarian. The bed was very comfortable, lots of pillows. The sectional sofa was a real plus. You can order from a limited menu 24/7 and they have a free continental breakfast that will do in a pinch. There is a huge flat screen HDTV in the room and good Wi-fi for free, fast internet. I would stay there again without any hesitation. A really great hotel.

Easy automated check in took seconds and someone from the staff came by to make sure it worked for me. (Check out was just as simple.) The room was spacious (loved the sectional sofa) and the work area was comfy and well lit. I was impressed with the decent food available 24/7 and it was a very quiet place. The beds were just right -- firm mattress but soft enough to rest easy. I had never stayed in a Hyatt Place until this trip but now I'll search them out!
