Staff very freindly. Hotel was completely full yet the staff seemed to know who we were. Room was large and liked the lay-out. This hotel is adjacent to a large community center that was an excellent place for kids to play. Hotel advertised as "pet friendly" and really was! Took full advantage of the complimentary shuttle service to go to the Mall of America without the hassle of driving and parking ourselves. Cost of hotel very reasonable. Full complimentary breakfast and dinner every night so even though we had a full kitchen we enjoyed these free meals instead. Quiet rooms.

Convenient location with free shuttle to Mall of America and light rail train station. Not new, but clean and nice. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The full breakfast was super and we were pleasantly surprised that complimentary dinners were offered during the week! Free wi-fi was available in the rooms.

We stayed at the Residence Inn after checking the website and comparing all the hotels in the area for price and amenities. The Residence Inn was wonderful....the staff at the front desk, the breakfast buffet in the morning, hospitality evening (we were there only one Monday), shopping, and dining all within a short trip. Diana (front desk) even put our daughter and family in the room across from us when I called and requested to be on the same floor. There was one day the room wasn't cleaned by 4 p.m. and had to ask and it was immediately taken care of. Also, the air conditioner was loud, but we weren't in the room that much anyway. All in all, we would definitely stay here again.

We usually enjoy staying at a Residence Inn, but we were disappointed with our experience at this location. I noticed immediately that the rooms were not very clean. The carpet looked like it needed vacuuming and we found several hairs on counters and floors. About an hour after we checked in, someone knocked on the door and said there wanted to shampoo the carpet and furniture in our room. So, we hurried up and got ready to leave so they could enter and clean. Later that evening when we returned to our room, the carpet and furniture were all still wet so we had to walk around on soggy floors and couldn't sit on any of the furniture. Obviousy, they planned ahead to have this cleaning done so they should have warned us when we made the reservations or offered us some kind of discount for our inconvenience. For the price we paid, we expected more from Residence Inn.

Front desk staff were very customer focused - gave us suggestions on sight seeing and directions. The room was very nice (wonderfully huge king size bed with lots of pillows - very comfortable, not your typical hotel hard mattress). The shuttle was great for getting us to the Mall and they also dropped us off at the Light Rail station which isn't their regular stop - very accomodating. The breakfast is HUGE - something for everyone. The only down fall is the pool - it is shared with a Community Centre (which is very nice); however, the public swim hours are limited and not convienient to a sightseer's itinerary. We would definetly stay there again!
