I must admit that I got sucked in because of all of the cute black bears. When we first stepped into our room (#104), it did smell like typical motel. Everything did look a little dated - the furniture, the bedding, the bathroom. The motel itself also seems like it's been a while since its last renovation. I also encountered an issue with billing - I had prepaid through Travel online but, upon check-in and check-out, was asked to pay. I actually doubted myself and agreed to get charged upon checking out. But, I verified at home that I did pay. Then again, when they went to charge me a second time, they had a different credit card number in their files. One worker mentioned that their computer system had gotten an overhaul recently, so perhaps that was to blame. But, all that to say, we never felt uncomfortable there and the breakfast was pretty satisfying. I would stay there again if it was still affordable, but would certainly check around the next time.

Great place for a family. HUGE pool and spa. The management dealt with a power outage at their breakfast center efficiently, and fixed the problem while keeping their customers happy. The motel is older, and is in the process of being renovated. Still, everything was very satisfactory. One of the two nights we stayed the lounge played loud music, but soon quieted down. The staff was friendly and helpful, and took care of us well. (Loved those cookies in the lobby!)

The hotel room was comfortable and the breakfasts were varied and well put together. They had little 'benefits' such as clean rags to clean cars and a place to hang stuff to dry in the bathroom that was a nice touch. It was a little awkward to get out of, you have to go through the Fred Meyers lot to go left but otherwise I would very much recomend.

reservations missing data that requested non-smoking preference

The front desk was burdened with Travelocity's reservation that did not indicate a non-smoking reservation. This was the case with a number of reservations. The staff were courteous and helpful in trying to resolve the non-smoking requests. Unfortunately, the hotel was solidly booked due to a National softball tournament going on in the town. Alot of familes and eservation changes kept the management very busy but they were very helpful. I just didn't need to hear their problems but rather simply resolve my issues.
