  First of all, this was advertised as being in Ridgeland, but in reality was ten miles north in Yemassee. This is a distance from everywhere; not a lot to do in Yemassee. We found a church and playground in the town, about five miles away. There are some nice back streets behind the motel, for jogging. The attached Denny's is convenient, and open all night. Otherwise, you have McDonalds and Wendys. Oh, and the Texaco station, which keeps a generous supply of Pepto Bismol- handy after dining at McDonalds and Wendys. The room was nice and big and clean. The maids did a good job daily. The grounds are well-maintained. I'd stay there again, but for a shorter time since there is so little to do. Well, the highlight of one day was driving to Ridgeland to get a haircut. Haircuts are very reasonable in Ridgeland.

  Have stayed here twice in past year. staff is good. renovations are underway. cleanlinless is at least average. 24-hr denny's on premises. not much to do in ...

  Have stayed here twice in past year. Staff is good. Renovations are underway. Cleanlinless is at least average. 24-hr Denny's on premises. Not much to do in immediate area (in walking distance). Not exactly a resort destination, but OK for an overnight business stay.

  We didn't make use of the pool, which seems to have been a factor in some of the negative reviews I've read, but the room and linens were clean, the staff polite and helpful, and for a one-night stay the hotel was more than adequate. We had a similar experience with the adjoining Denny's restaurant - service was prompt and cheerful, and the food warm and plentiful. Given the reviews our expectations were guarded at best, but for basic accommodations we were very pleased.
