  I have stayed at this hotel frequently during racing season. The location of the hotel makes it the best in Hot Springs for access to Oaklawn Park & Casino. This is the first time that I have been here since the renovation and it is a great improvement. New beds, LCD TVs, raised shower heads and new carpet have made things much better. They also still have a nice morning breakfast. It is still basic lodging, but much improved over previous stays.

  We went to Hot Springs to watch the horse races, this hotel is the BEST place to stay if that is your whole point in going. It is located directly across the street from the track; very convenient for those that would rather walk than to pay for parking. The rooms were clean & the staff was very personable. The only problem I think we ran into was the exhaust fan not working in one of the bathrooms. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, especially if they are going for the weekend to watch the horse races.

  Not the best, but not the worst. ran out of towels and had to wait for awhile to shower. bed had buttons on mattress that made it difficult to sleep. ...

  Not the best, but not the worst. Ran out of towels and had to wait for awhile to shower. Bed had buttons on mattress that made it difficult to sleep. Otherwise, clean and the air conditioner worked great!

  The hotel is located between the old section of town (tourist locations) and the new sections great places to eat. With the location directly across from the race track, the parking lot is also used by people going to the track which makes it difficult to park when the horses are running.

  Convenient Location. Carpets cleaned while! Backup to your door; ease of getting in and out. Another advantage: smoking rooms!Disadvantages: Sometimes noisy. Bar nearby with motorcycles roaring up the street late at nite, especially in the warm weather. Contractors in big diesel pick-ups make a lot of noise and smell. Watch out for door dings with these big ""dually"" pickups. There are newer hotels southend of town at marginally higher prices. The Best Western is a compromise I can live with. Good job of trying to keep the place in good condition. I would stay there again.
