We stayed at the Inn the evening of 15 December 2009. Things started badly as the electronic keys didn't work even after several "reprogrammings" by the Front Desk Attendant. Once we got into another room, we found the heater didn't work after being out for dinner for several hours and returning to a frigid room. We were changed again (our third room change in 3 hours) and it was OK. Final and most serious flaw was when we left a wrapped package containing an art print in the room inadvertently as we hastily packed out for our flight home the morning of the 16th. We called several times after we discovered our careless and unfortunate oversight, but nothing was turned in or noticed by the staff at the Hotel, and it was clear that our concern over the loss of our package left in the room was not shared by anyone we spoke with at the Hotel. A painful lesson learned that trying to save a few bucks by staying in such places is just not worth it in the final analysis.

The first night there was noise in the walls and ceilings so we kept waking up. They changed rooms to a quiet room the second day which was much better. However it had not been used for a while and the carpet and chairs had spots on them and the whole room needed a good cleaning. We told them and the next day they did clean the carpet. They have a nice breakfast in a room with tables and chairs. They had cereal, juice, coffee, donuts and fruit every morning which was helpful as we stayed 6 nights. My only real comlaint was they turned off the air condioner for the year as they expected it to turn cold but it was very warm that week and there were no windows that opened so we were very hot at night as we could not leave the doors open of course! The staff were nice an friendly and tried to make us happy as best they could. it is a very old Inn and needs updating.

The motel looked like a great deal for the money. It is a very nice facility, but they are not keeping it maintained. There were leaves and other trash on the grounds and no one was cleaning it up. The pool was green with algae. The hot tub had a tarp over it. The facility is fairly large, and they have a lot of gated entrances. You are supposed to have to use your room key to open a gate, but all you have to do is reach your hand through the fence and unlatch the gate. The wi-fi did not work very well. If they would just clean it up, it would be very nice.

My mother and I were really disappointed with this motel (yes, it is a motel--all outside rooms). And the pool area was definitely broke-down and not appealing. For a few dollars more, we should have stayed down the road at the Hilton Garden Inn. The only redeeming factor was that the staff was very friendly. Needless to say, we will not be booking another stay.
