Hotel was typical Best Western hotel setup. Generally a nice experience. Some issues with this hotel. 1. Back rooms stairwell dirty - at least clean the steps. 2. Back rooms 2nd floor building entrance door continually left open would not close easily had to be forced closed thus left open- thus no security for that building section. 3. No traditional room service - had to go to Hoot & Howl restaurant to get anything. - or at least staff did not make clear there was any. It would have been nice to have room service. 4. Only one internet access computer available. Had to wait hours for one customer to finish using. Would be nice to have wi-fi access - so can use wi-fi enabled pc in room. 5. Staff had no maps of local area to supply to travelers.

Nicely decorated room-filthy carpets
08/29/2008The room we stayed in was very nicely decorated and overall was nice but the carpets were so dirty that walking on them for five minutes turned your feet black. ...
The room we stayed in was very nicely decorated and overall was nice but the carpets were so dirty that walking on them for five minutes turned your feet black. That really made me wonder how clean everything else in the room was. The front dest people were nice. The breakfast was fine. Everything was tastefully decorated. My big thing was that the carpet in our room was so dirty that it kind of creeped us out on everything else.

08/26/2007The front desk personnel were friendly, though not overly helpful. the room smelled horrible and was even worse after they 'cleaned' it. the room setup was very awkward - to update ...
The front desk personnel were friendly, though not overly helpful. The room smelled horrible and was even worse after they 'cleaned' it. The room setup was very awkward - to update features the furniture was jammed together and you could only see the tv from the bed and couldn't open the armoire doors all of the way back because of the table on one side and the microwave stand on the other. The phone was so full of static that it was unusable. Internet connection was intermittent. The desk personnel gave me the 800 tech services number and they stayed on the phone (that would be my cell phone because of the quality of the landline in the room)with me for 45 minutes until they got the problem fixed, which I really appreciated.
