My family and I have stayed here several times throughout the years because we were always happy with the accomodations and the cost. In the last 2 years we have been very unhappy with our stay there. We have reported ants in the bed, uncomfortable mattress, problems with the bath (showerhead, faucet, drain etc.) and they look at us as if we are stupid. We are done giving them another chance and will definetly not be staying there any longer.

Excellent location! Half block from the trolley. Our family went to Petco Park Friday night and used the trolley. Easy! Very inexpensive motel. Close to freeway access. Curtains and paint, especially in bathroom, a little shabby. Breakfast was great! Waffles, toast, bagels, hard boiled eggs, cold and hot cereal choices, juice, coffee and much more!

I have also stayed here more than once, and I would say I can sometimes recommend it. The air conditioner does not work in some of the rooms (I requested and got a room change last time), and there is some street noise, but not too bad. The exercise room is essentially non-functional. On the other hand, the included breakfast is great (waffles available!), there is a pool, the location right on the San Diego Trolley line is quite good (a 15-25 minute ride to downtown, depending on your exact destination), and rates are (usually) reasonable. An IGA supermarket is just across the street, and there are a few restaurants nearby.

this was a disgusting motel the outside was dirty the paint was chipped. at night there were shady people around i was afraid to get out of my car then at around midnight the clock alarm randomly went off and at around 3am people kept walking by our room i couldnt sleep the whole night with the noise they had their tv full blast. the motels near by had shady people outside too. inside the room the bed was hard as a rock and the bathroom door didnt even close. the towels were dirty. in the morning the maid woke us up before check-out time. i will never stay here again it was not worth $* at all THE WORST PLACE EVER

The room was overpriced. It was advertised as recently remodeled if so they skipped our room the paint was peeling off of the bathroom walls the tile was moldy. The room had a general feeling of uncleanliness. We were charged to use the in room safes !! Plus we were charged $21. per room more than the room next door which was identical. I have stayed in some nice Best Westerns but this certainly wasn""t one of them.
