When we ""get on teh Road"" to explore our wonderful country, we generally don't plan our stays ahead. We just go! Gut it can be a challenge sometimes finding places to stay that are as lcean as we would like and where the hnosts are helpful and friendly. The Hot Springs Inn, we found, is such a place. The rooms were clean and fresh and very comfortable. Everything worked: lights, water, and plumbing. The staff was erricient and helpful showing us interesting routhes to explore and what to see in town. They also showed much concern they the found out about my husband's back which was strained on the trip. Fortuitously, TprC was the home of hte historic hot springs and were guided to them to ease his pain.

We checked-in 2 hrs early. We came to TorC to check out Elephant Butte Lake.The room was cln and comfy; a/c worked and was quiet. On-site restaurant was closed. They are building a Wal Mart next door so there is a lot of noise in day.No big deal-for the lake.When we returned we thought a dip in the pool would be great - WRONG! The pool was colder than the lake water we dipped our feet in. We only stayed one night but we do intend to go back in July. BTW we shared the hotel with 2 Divisions of ARMY personnel who were wonderful considerate neighbors.
