In advance, we booked two rooms for ourselves and another set of parents, all of whom were in Starkville to move our only children MSU. We knew that all hotels were at full capacity and felt lucky to secure two rooms. Our room had not one bar of soap on the vanity or bathtub, nor any liquid soap in the shower liquid soap and shampoo dispenser. Of course I discovered this while in the shower at 11:30pm, after moving furniture and freshman set up for two girls and one young man since 11:00 that morning. I reached for the hotel shampoo as a substitute, and there was none. My husband was in bed asleep. I called the front desk and was informed that there was soap in the lobby. I'm towel wrapped and wet from the shower. No apology was offered. Upon asking if I was supposed to come get the soap in the lobby, the front desk young man replied, I can't leave the lobby ma'am. Still no apology. I thanked him and hung up. We reserved room for our travel companions as a polite gesture for their sons send off to MSU. Upon checking on them, after my shower, I found them swatting at gnats, as they sip their wine. Our guests resorted to leaving once again to take care of the problem, stopped at the front desk to inform of the problem. The gentleman's reply at the front desk? I don't know why you have gnats in your room. Upon asking if there was some spray our guest could borrow to get rid of them, the gentleman employee of Days Inn replied, No, but here's a newspaper. You can hit them with it. Not service worthy of a return. Badly managed employee.

This hotel ran out of money before it finished is renovation. The landscaping is nonexistent and sidewalks are dangerous. There are marble counters stacked up in the lobby. Our room was fine but there was not a mini fridge or microwave. Breakfast was a joke. Room was not cleaned while we were there and the towels felt like a loofah. It is a great location for game day.

My in- laws came to visit me so they stayed in this hotel for 3 days. Entire their stay they enjoyed. Very friendly staff including Manager x . delicious breakfast, very clean pool. very nice and comfortable beds seems like they have put new beds in rooms.
