My husband and I stayed here in March of 2007, it wasn't the nicest place we've stayed. However, we stayed again in August and WOW, Beautiful great hotel is the least I can say. Room decor is gorgeous, Beds nice & comfy, Fridge & Micro a HUGE plus with kids, adjoining rooms added to our stay. We were poolside and it was wonderful. Having a HUGE gorgeous pool to relax in and the smoking by the pool wasn't bad at all. Can't say enough how much this hotel has changed and only for the better.
Highly recommended as I am very picky about hotels I stay at, this one is top of my list!!! -

I had stayed here previously and it was really nice. They have been renovating and some of the rooms must not be done. I booked a two queen bed room and when I showed up I got a two double bed room. When I checked in they didn't even tell me that it was changed so I didn't find out until I reached the room. When I called to question it, they were very unsympathetic and just stated that it was because of renovating. I asked if the price would be discounted because I didn't get what I reserved and they said "no". I was not very happy. And then the beds were very very uncomfortable. I actually packed up and left at 5am instead of the noon check out time. Make sure to call and verify what type of room you reserve before coming to this hotel!!!

Well we went back for a second visit the following week from my last review. The first room they sent us to was destroyed. There were no beds and garbage everywhere. They sent us to a second room where the AC didn't work. Then they put us poolside in a newly remodeled room that was beautiful. The most comfortable bed I ever slept in. There will always be problems, it's how they are handled that matters. We left satisfied customers.

My expectations for this hotel were low given the previous reviews. We decided to book it anyway based on the pool and their pet policy (they take pets for a $10 fee) Upon arrival, it was obvious that a major renovation is underway. I don't know if our room has been renovated or not, but it was clean and surprisingly spacious. I am a non-smoker, and smoking is allowed in the cabana area outside of the pool, but the room is so spacious that it wasn't even noticeable. The pool was awesome. It is enclosed in a glass dome and you can see the sun and the clouds above. My only complaint is that the snackbar at the pool never opened.
The hotel is located near a mall and a ton of restaurants. The casinos are 5 minutes away, as is the riverboat museum. We enjoyed the hotel alot and plan on returning soon. -

Based on the previous reviewers, my expectations of this hotel were low. The room was spacious and clean. The pool is in an atrium where you get direct sunlight during the day which was really nice. Our only disappointment was they never opened the poolside snack bar. The hotel is located near a mall and plenty of restaurants as well. We plan on going back again soon.
