  The online pictures were accurate, but that was the facade. The room was tiny. The door didn't close fully and had to be shifted on its hinges to not be blocked by the door trim. The shower knob provided either very hot water with decent pressure or reasonable temperature water with poor pressure, your choice. The parking garage was also incredibly small. With a van, it was difficult to pull into or out of a parking spot. They double parked cars all through the exit lane and you couldn't get out without waiting for someone to move four cars. The door to the room showed light all the way around it, so there was no insulation. With warm weather that wasn't an issue beyond everyone who walked by on the balcony at 2AM sounding like they were standing in your room talking to you. The WI-FI service was unbelievably bad. It was too weak to maintain a signal in my room. I, and many others, obtained their only signals in the hotel lobby. The claim was that "a storm blew out some of their access points" two days before I arrived. Five days later, I was there for a conference, they were still "blown". Of course, it would take a trip to Best Buy to replace them in a day. In the lobby, it was terribly slow. The room air conditioner would not cool the room. It blew plenty of air - outside temperature. I mentioned it to the hotel manager and was told to "come down the next morning and remind" them so they "could have their maintenance guy look at it". Bad answer, that's why I?m telling you now, so you can write it down and remember it yourself!

  With no hotel rooms available in new orleans because of the nba's all star week, i found the best western landmark in metairie. my travel time to n.o. ...

  With no hotel rooms available in New Orleans because of the NBA's All Star Week, I found the Best Western Landmark in Metairie. My travel time to N.O. was fiften minutes or less. xxx, xxx and xxx were the guest desk staff that went out of their way to accomodate me with reservations, directions,etc. and very helpful with any information when I needed it. The room was very clean, safe,comfortable and quiet. It was great that wireless internet was available in the room. I didn't eat there or use any of the other amenities so I have no opinion on those items. The room's coffee pot makes only one cup at a time and there were no tea bags available. I would stay there again without hesitation.
