Check the dates reviews are written about a hotel. Some of the reviews boost of the many problems this hotel have, but I found this 2 star hotel was very nice. I stayed for 3 days for a family reunion. Having 3 young children (ages 1, 5, and 7), I picked this hotel for its mentioned pool and playground. The pool has a nice 3 foot area for the kids to play in. The kids had a blast playing in the pool and playground. The Mystic Aquarium is just across the street and another excellent place to take the kids. A perfect hotel for guests with kids.

The location of the hotel was good. Had 3 problems, the sink drain was clogged and was slow draining. The shower faucet did not work correctly and had to get hot water. The coffee pot would not turn off at the switch, had to make sure you unplugged the cord. They advertised breakfast but it was not available while we were there. The attached resturant was good.

08/23/2007Their ad boasts 'remodeled'. well, they forgot the bathroom! took forever toget hot water, tub controls were backward, sink faucet all rusty and tiles coming off wall.

Took half hour to get room. Check-in at 3 PM and they had one person at the desk.
Went out at 9 AM maid was outside the room. Came back at 3 PM and room wasn't done. When it was done it was clean.
Turned AC to heat one night and got nautious burning smell. Had to leave room for over an hour.
Free breakfast and area served leaves something to be desired.
Spend a few extra bucks and stay someplace else. -
