The Creekside Inn was a excellent hotel to stay in. As soon as we arrived the front counter staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were very nice, clean, and well maintained. Continental breakfast was great, with a lot of variety. The landscaping of the hotel was great, well maintained and beautiful to look at. We would definitely return and also recommend this hotel to others.

My husband and I traveled with my elderly parents to Bishop and stayed two nights. We all were very pleased with the quality of and arrangement of our rooms. We each had the room with a small kichen/dining room. It was perfect. We had the view of the creek, and we loved the small patio outside of our room where we could sit down and relax. There was also plenty of outdoor seating areas around the creek. The security was very impressive. The breakfast was beyond our expectations. The hotel served refreshments and cookies in the afternoon. The seating in the lobby is ample and nicely appointed. Nice fireplace. There was also a computer for the guests. We all felt very comfortable and relaxed at this hotel. I was pleased that there was minimal noise from the inside air conditioning unit. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. The best rooms are those with the creekside view. The staff was great. too. An added bonus was the availabiltiy of a washer and dryer free of use to hotel guests. The restaurants are within walking distance, and Schatts Bakery is right next door.

  • Exceeded expectations- ideal setting, delicious breakfast and fantastic service!

This hotel is clean and in a beautiful setting along the creek. Front desk was efficient and friendly, going out of their way to accommodate my elderly mother. We had an amazing room next to the creek. Room included 4 sets of towels and room was thoroughly cleaned and vacuumed each day of our stay. Rooms are well insulated as we did not hear anyone next to us. There are tables and chairs along the creek-perfect for relaxing and reading or having your morning coffee while listening to the water and looking at the gorgeous flowers in bloom. Pool is large enough for doing laps and the area was clean and had courtesy towels avaliable. Thankfully, the no smoking policy is enforced. Lobby is gorgeous and comfortable. Free internet on a guest computer in lobby and available with personal computers in rooms. Breakfast included biscuits and gravy, waffles, French Toast, hard boiled egg, hot and cold cereal, fruit and numerous breads. Hotel is next to Schatts' Bakery- famous for its breads and great for sandwiches. We had a delicious dinner at Rossi's in Big Pine-amazing ravioli, steaks and lamb- worth the short drive south on 395. Anytime I come to Bishop I will return here. I already miss listening to the sound of the creek outside my window.

There's nothing about the front of the Creekside Inn (the part you see from your car as you are careening down the highway), that makes it appear any different for other well maintained motels. But WOW, WHAT A DIFFERENCE ONCE YOU PARK YOUR CAR! A large part of the lobby includes an area that looks more like a cozy living room. It's the kind of place where you'd want to curl up with a good book on a cold winter day, perhaps next to the fireplace. We actually spotted two people playing chess in it on the morning we left. The guest rooms are fully equipped, modern, clean and inviting. They smell nice too, perhaps because of the sign that asks that cigarette smokers do their smoking 50 feet away from the motel (it is clearly a non-smoking facility, and that includes the grounds). All of the above would have made it an excellent place to lodge, but wait, there's more. The creek that runs alongside the motel is something out of fantasyland. Calm and soothing, it is manicured and meticulously maintained. Numerous guests sat alongside or near it reading their books while allowing its gentle water flow and friendly ducks to enable them to relax and appreciate the wonders of nature. The sides of the creek are populated with hundreds of colorful flowers. I brought my laptop with me, set it on a creekside table, and appreciated the quick response time afforded by the powerful (unsecured) wi-fi signal which is included in the base price of the room. The breakfast was good, though the breakfast room was crowded. It could have benefitted from scrambled eggs (in addition to the hard boiled ones), and there was no meat (not problem for us as we are vegetarians). We shall return!

This hotel is very nice. The grounds are beautiful and the free breakfast is actually pretty good. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Would stay again for sure. Be sure to stop at the bakery next door for sheepherder bread and goodies for your trip. It is excellent.
