my name is Paul and i had to stay at the americas best value inn back in september, which i thought was only gonna be for a few days but ended up being longer. i had to bring my wife for surgery at one of the hospitals that is near the hotel and of course that made it very convinent for me. the staff was great and very helpful. they even helped me out with a good rate that was within my budget. i truly do thank them for everything.

After reading previous comments I was pleasently suprised to find this motel very adaquet. The staff was great. They were all very friendly, efficient, and helpfull and while the rooms were out of date they were very comfortable and clean. If your one of those lot-T-das I don't recomend it. But If your an average Joe who is on a travel budget I, whole hartedly recomend you give it a try.

10/28/2006In decatur on business, had to stay overnight. every hotel booked so i stayed here (yuck). rooms needed a dozer, beds hard, linnens well used, bathrooms held together with tape. ...
In Decatur on business, had to stay overnight. Every hotel booked so I stayed here (YUCK). Rooms needed a dozer, beds hard, linnens well used, bathrooms held together with tape. The rooms were clean, carpet was old & dirty & rooms stink. The doors to the rooms wont close because they had been busted open in the past. You can hear conversations in the next room because the walls have no sound barriers. The staff is rude, the place is old and run down. They have a lounge so you can get drunk and sleep through the night. "

I was figuring that with a bar and restaurant attached it would be decent - not at all. The rooms are not comfortable (and smelled), our door didn't even seal tight (light & breeze coming in)! Leaking ceilings with buckets to collect water, hard beds and dirty bathrooms. YUCK! Never again! Pay the extra $10/night for a decent and clean place to stay.
