The air conditioning was loud and not very cold. Front desk service was terrible, I booked and payed online yet the motel wanted to charge me again! What a Joke! We stayed there July 18, 2009. We stayed in Great Falls another night but at a motel down the street where the front desk was friendly and the room was better and cheeper, and they had a nice bar with friendly staff.(Ohaire motel)

I've stayed at the Quality Inn Ponderosa three times in the past year while on business. This time when I checked in, their only elevator was out of order. It's 5 flights of stairs from the garage to the top floor where my room was located. It took two trips of those 5 flights of stairs to load my stuff into the car. On one of the occasions the card key to the room wouldn't work, so that was an additional trip up and down the stairs. Finally when checking out, I asked for an adjustment on the bill for all the inconvenience. The manager snapped back, ""there will be no adjustment."" I asked her to call her coorporate offices, and not only did she refuse, she asked me to leave the motel and if I didn't she would call the police to have me removed!! How shocking is that! In this economy I'd think every property would do all they could to reasonably satisfy the customer. Apparently not at this place. Oh, and they tout a 100% satisfaction guarantee. The property itself is old, but ok. Seems to be getting more run-down as time goes on. Needless to say, I wont' give them my business again as the service and attitude of the management staff was horrible! There's plenty other nice hotels/motels in Great Falls.

This hotel seems to have had its heyday in the late 1960s-70s. They have worked hard to keep it up to date. You can almost see the ghosts of big-time country-westerns stars long gone walking the halls.
