04/18/2009Nice, clean hotel with beautiful landscaping. staff was friendly and helpful. room walls were very thin and could hear noise in nearby rooms and in hallways.

Recycled Soap
05/02/2008After we arrived, we were preparing to go out for dinner. when i opened the box of soap, the bar was wet. the second soap bar, for the shower/tub, ...
After we arrived, we were preparing to go out for dinner. When I opened the box of soap, the bar was wet. The second soap bar, for the shower/tub, was also placed in the box wet. I'm an avid recycler, but this was going too far. It calls into question all of their housekeeping procedures. The young desk clerk was only mildly surprised when my husband told him about the soap. Kind of makes you wonder.

03/31/2008My only complaint about this hotel were the pillows. they were big and a little hard. the mattress was great.

The hotel was a good break from typical budget hotels. It has a distinct look and feel to it with a beautiful courtyard. Our room was good too - with balcony and vaulted ceiling. The staff was courteous and helpful (we changed our room twice at check-in to get one with balcony). Its location is very convenient as well, with very easy access on and off 101. We were primarily touring Santa Barbara, and it hardly took us 10 mins to reach there from the hotel.
Overall a very good hotel and good value for money. Would stay again!
