We stayed at this hotel about 12 years ago and it was very nice so we chose it again for this trip. BIG mistake! The hotel lobby & our room smelled musty stale and of old smoke. While it was tidy it just didn't have a clean feel to it. BR window looked right into a mobile home - way to close to our room. We did not feel comfortable or at ease at all. We've never done this before but decided NOT to stay and we checked out after a couple of hours. Front desk didn't even ask why and appeared to be very offended when we told him we were leaving. We left and checked into a hotel closer to the Interstate. Best choice we made was to leave and go to a different hotel. We all got a good night sleep in a very comfortable, clean and appealing hotel! I won't even consider Best Western again.

This is a little older motel, however, it is VERY nice for a family to stay. They have 2 rooms, 1 bathroom, 2 tv's in each room and very comfortable. I was amazed at the cost of the rooms for their type. The pool room was across the parking lot but in the nice weather, it didn't matter. An arcade and bathrooms are also in there, very nice for the kids. A gas station is right across the street and McDonalds just a block away. The beautiful river with the older style bridge is less than a half a block and the scenery is gorgeous. The motel staff was very friendly and accommodating. We liked it so much, we returned again on our way home for a much needed relaxing night! Did I mention they even had a lazy boy recliner in the room!! It worked out super for our tired, stiff and sore driver!!
