We stayed one night at the Best Western and will never do it again. First, our bed had two roaches on it. The air conditioner blew cold on you while you in bed. You could not adjust the vent. The remote control was broken for the TV.

Convenience to King's Dominion a big plus including shuttle service but refer to the previous reviews on room placement for quiet (very helpful). My warning is for non-smokers. Be prepared to look at several rooms to find one you can tolerate. I believe their definition of non-smoking covers the 20 minutes prior to your arrival. Denny's and Pizzaria Uno on premises is a plus but I echo other reviews. Value below par for the chain.

We have stayed at this hotel every year for probably the last 5 or 6 years. We love Kings Dominion for our kids and the hotel is very conveniently located. You can walk to the park entrance in about less than 10 minutes or you can take the free shuttle they offer. The hotel has a Denny's on site (service a little slow but it's still convenient). You need to get to breakfast by 8:45 to avoid major crowds. There is a pool, ping pong, tennis and a small play ground. The rooms are no frills. You get two beds that are only marginally comfortable. The hotel is relatively clean but far from spotless with a very small bathroom. We've never had a room with mold or bugs as some people have discussed. While a poolside room is nice with small kids it definitely has it's disadvantages with noise. People are swimming in that pool till all hours of the night. Even on this trip when the pool was not open yet the noise by those rooms is loud because people have to walk by the poolside rooms to get to the Denny's, playground, tennis etc. My suggestion would be to request a parking lot view room or a room on the courtyard but in the back near the tennis courts. I forgot to mention that they have a small game room that my kids love. I would stay here if it's a quick visit and you want a convenient hotel to Kings Dominion, just don't expect a 4 star hotel. It's basically a place to sleep.

My wife found ants crawling all over the room. On our last morning my wife found a roach crawling on her suitcase. Don't stay here. The rates are low for a reason. Staff is friendly but that means nothing when you have more creatures in your room than you paid for.

This room was so disgusting. After a long day we checked in. To our dismay it was disgusting, I had a 24 month old and was afraid to lay him down anywhere. The bathroom was mildewed. Absolutely filthy was the blankets, and the floor even though carpeted was damp and smelled of urine. We checked out within 5 mins!
