Checked in and was given a room they labeled distressed on folio. Went to pool to find it closed. Front desk personnel forgot to mentioned this when checking in. Desk and night manager gave a $* dollar credit. Next morning upon checking out ask how credit would be handled-then the fun began. Day supervisor would not tell me . Treated me like i ask for a top secret code and was obnoxious. Called Travel online and they got me the feedback required and life went on.

While the rooms and hallways are past due for an updating this hotel does represent a good value. We enjoyed the large pool and pool area. HOWEVER!!... During our second night the while my wife and younger son were at the pool a domestic dispute broke out in a poolside room and found its way into the pool area with much yelling and foul name calling. Police were called and things settled down. My older son at about this time went down to the lobby to see if he could find a newspaper from the previous day. An obviously very upset guest grabbed him by the throat and pushed him into a wall. He sustained an obvious scrape and bruise on his arm. I mentioned the assault to the front desk at checkout the next morning and they assured me that this was not the norm. In light of our experience I certainly CANNOT RECOMMEND this hotel to anyone.

We chose the Best Western because it was close to the airport and the price was right. We were pleasantly surprised with our stay! The front desk staff was very professional and helpful. When we arrived in our room, we discovered that, at 3 pm, it had not been made up! We called down to the front desk, and within minutes, someone was at our room with keys to a new room, which was just great. This hotel has a nice indoor pool that feels like an outdoor pool because it has a transparent roof over the whole pool area, which is in a courtyard in the middle of the hotel. Apparently families come here in the winter for a little getaway. We did not use the attached restaurant, so I can't speak to that, but we enjoyed our stay and would stay at this Best Western again.

The simple truth is the hotel tried to add a fee on that was not mentioned in the confirmed reservation. I booked the reservation online and the total charge with fees was "Y". I checked in, the room and hotel were fine, but the next morning the bill included $1.50 charge for the room safe - I never even saw a safe. I told the front desk supervisor there was a false charge on my bill and asked her to remove it. In a rather loud voice she said the motel had a legal right to charge me for the safe - I hadn't yet mentioned what the charge was for. I showed her a printout of my reservation without the fee. In a louder voice she said that by checking in there was a legal contract and they could charge whatever fees they wanted. I then said I would file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, which I since have done, and she said she would remove the fee as a courtesy - there was nothing courteous in her tone.I would have readily paid $1.50 more for the room, but this fee was not disclosed when I made the reservation, and the supervisor's tone was uncivil.
