I was booked into this hotel by a travel site claiming it was a 2.5 star hotel. I have never stayed in such a dump. The sheets, which looked to be about 30 years old, barely covered the mattress. We asked for more towels other than the 2 smallest towels in the world that were in the room and were told they didn't have any more, which was fine because I was honestly afraid to use the shower. Also had to request more toilet paper because there was barely any left on the roll and no spare in the room. We pulled all the top bedding off and spread out beach towels from the car to sleep on.

We read the bad review but thought it can't be that bad. We arrived about 9:30 pm and found the carpet not vacuumed , the bathroom floor dirty and sticky, the toilet not clean and a dirty towel behind the bathroom door. The sink and counter top had hair all over it. In turning down the beds we found hair in the beds and something else that looked like bits of crackerjacks , but we really don't know what it was. Because it was late we brushed the stuff out of the beds and sorta slept. We left the next morning about 6am and told the guy at the front desk about the condition of the room and ask that it be properly cleaned before we returned that evening. Luckily we took our bags with us because when we returned about 7:30 pm our key would not work because they had put someone else in our room. No one at the office could tell us how this happened, they did offer us another room at no charge and discounted the first night about $10, but there was no way we were going to stay. We drove about 100 miles south and found a nice CLEAN Best Western for only a few dollars more. Unless this motel makes some drastic changes PLEASE STAY AWAY. I did tell the manager that we could understand age and wear and tear , but there was no excuse for not being clean.

I will NEVER stay at this hotel again. The room had cobwebs in the corner and it was dirty. The comforter had holes in it and the sink stopper was broken. The tub was never cleaned to satisfaction. I felt dirty the entire time we were there. I would have switched to another hotel but the Holiday Inn and another nicer hotel were full. Plus, our reunion group was at this hotel. If we ever return to Mississippi we will not stay at this hotel again.
