LOCATION: This may say it is a DFW hotel, but long drive from the airport. SHUTTLE: The shuttle was good, but as soon as we left the airport, driver got a call about someone who needed a ride, so he turned around. It took an hour to get to the hotel because of the turn-around.
SMOKY: Even though we had requested a non-smoking room, they put us on a floor that reeked with smoke without any non-smoking signs. When I went to the desk, they said it was non-smoking. I insisted on another room. They put us on another floor and all of the rooms had no-smoking signs on them.
DIRTY FLOOR: Floors were nasty! Dust was so thick on edges and under air conditioner that it was easily visible (whitish-gray) from across the room. There was even a balled up foil gum wrapper on the floor which indicated that it had not been vacuumed. When I reported the room condition, the clerk did not react; it was as if it didn't matter. I guess it didn't.
DIRTY BATHROOM COUNTER: One side of the bathroom counter was spotted, as it had been sprayed and caught dust, but was never wiped. COFFEE: They only provided ONE one-cup (disposable) serving of coffee, even though there were two people checked in. Actually, there were two, but one was decaf and one was caffeinated.
ROOM SIZE: Nice size room. TV: Nice size t.v.
REFRIGERATOR: Froze the liquids we put in it, even though we did not adjust the temperature and it was set at medium.
BED: Comfortable bed, though pillows were rather flat. Sheets were clean. Bedspread dusty. One used 2 pillows to be moderately comfortable; the other was stuck with 1 flat.
