Attendent at checkin was rude- insisted that I had not made my reservation for four adults when I had (the clerk had even asked about my mother-in-law needing a first floor room when reservation was made). Checkin lady made several condescending comments about our getting the rate too cheap (in front of others who were waiting to check in), and even said we could only have 2 keys because our reservation should have been only for two people.
Halllway smelled strongly of cigarette smoke and would be very annoying to non-smokers. Room smelled mildewy- a/c leaked all over corner of room. Caulking was peeling in tub that had been used over top of grout that was missing. Fan in bathroom had 1/4 inch of dust on it.
Swimming pool was slick on the bottom and the hot tub had grimy build up all around the edges. We reported this to the front desk, and they told us that they check the pool twice a week and it was fine at last check. Needless to say, we did NOT swim there. -

This motel overall was a pleasent stay. I could tell it was a little aged but I give them credit, they were trying to spruce it up by painting the exterior. Which was really the biggest problem during our stay, and this is one of those flukes, because of the painting they had the windows covered-up, so the entire time we couldn't see out of ours. Lastly, I noticed when we arrived there were a couple of some other motels exterior rooms adjacent to our parking lot and when we arrived there were either some boarders or workers sitting on the porch seemingly peering at the guests.

The room was very nice and clean. The bathroom was well maintained. The location was terrific. The only negative thing was the front desk person. We asked for a first floor room and she said they were booked. She had approximately 20 reservations slips on the counter for individuals who had not arrived. Just having had knee surgery made it very difficult to climb the steep stairs.

The rooms were so clean. I wore white socks around all night and my feet were not dirty at all. The rooms have a wonderful smell as soon as you open the door, I do not know what they use, but keep doing so. The pillows are so fluffy and comfortable and the beds, also. We had a very comfortable stay. The clerk at the front desk could smile a little more, but you could tell she works hard. I would come back anytime.
